How to distinguish real pearls based on luster

Another way is to place your pearl on a completely white surface such as a white cloth, an A4 white glue or, ideally, on white cotton where the reflection of light and its natural coloring can be seen immediately. The color iridescence and shine of a real pearl is incomparable to anything and is a key characteristic that cannot be found in an imitation.
